We offer upfront and transparent fees for the services we provide, and we always try to give you a fixed fee so you know exactly what you’ll pay from the start.
You’ll normally be asked for a deposit of around £500 before we start work, deducted from your final bill (or covering costs incurred if the matter doesn’t complete). All charges below are subject to VAT at 20%, and include free home visits within five miles of our office — we can also meet by phone, Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Every Will fee includes an anti-money laundering check of £10 + VAT per client.
One or more executors, straightforward beneficiaries, up to two specific gifts. No trusts, business assets, foreign property or tax planning.
A matched pair of Wills for couples with matching wishes — usually leaving everything to the surviving partner, then the same beneficiaries.
Lets a named beneficiary benefit from an asset, such as a property, for their lifetime, before it passes to others. Add £100 + VAT for a letter of wishes.
A matched pair of Life Interest Trust Wills for couples. Add £150 + VAT for a letter of wishes.
Trustees decide how, when and to whom trust assets are distributed among a group of potential beneficiaries. Includes a letter of wishes.
A matched pair of Discretionary Trust Wills for couples. Includes a letter of wishes.
Registration fees of £41–£82 per LPA are payable separately to the Office of the Public Guardian, and a £10 + VAT anti-money laundering check applies per client. We offer £100 + VAT off the fees below when prepared alongside your Will(s).
A bespoke Inheritance Tax report advising what Wills and other estate planning steps you need to take. Further work is charged at our fixed fees, or our hourly rate from £270 + VAT for complex matters.
Where a trust receives property, Land Registry fees (typically £30–£80) and Office copies (£10 + VAT) apply, plus a £500 + VAT HMRC registration fee per trust if required.
Care Fees advice, Asset Protection and Lifetime Trusts advice, including an initial meeting and follow-up report.
Probate Registry fees of £526 (plus £2 per extra copy), bankruptcy searches and anti-money laundering checks apply in addition to the fees below.
Typically around 2% of the estate's value, or our hourly rate from £270 + VAT — agreed with you once we've assessed the work involved. We provide six-monthly cost updates on matters taking over six months.
